About me
Megan Hsu is a school district administrator in the Bay Area, California, and the founder of Edumated: Education Automated, an initiative focused on helping educators and leaders harness AI and automation to transform how schools operate. She leads special education programs by day and builds the infrastructure she wishes existed by night, developing applications and training programs that streamline the work of managing people, documentation, meetings, and decisions across complex school systems. Her years of classroom teaching, program leadership, and hands-on systems design give her a vantage point that spans both sides of the admin table.
Megan is a frequent presenter on AI in education and has spoken at ACSA Women in School Leadership, ACSA Every Child Counts, CAAPLE Con, the CEC Convention, and the CASE Conference, with international conference presentations at IASE in Bhutan and WCSNE in Oxford in 2026 Q2 and Q4. She is an active participant in the educator innovation movement, builds through national AI hackathons, and has won hackathons with projects AI Social Stories and BeastBlend. She believes the future of education will be shaped by the educators and leaders who design the systems they need themselves.
