Dr. Colette Boston is a veteran educational leader with 30 years of experience serving in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), where she began her career in 1996. She currently serves as a school principal and is committed to fostering inclusive, equitable, and high-achieving learning environments for all students. Dr. Boston holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and brings a strong research foundation to her practice, with scholarly interests in racial identity, sense of belonging, motivation, and the leadership experiences of women in education.
Her work is grounded in both lived leadership experience and a deep commitment to educational equity, with a focus on how identity and belonging shape leadership effectiveness and sustainability. Dr. Boston is passionate about developing and empowering leaders who are committed to culturally responsive practices and who seek to create schools where students and educators feel valued, supported, and inspired to succeed. Through her leadership, research, and advocacy, she continues to contribute to the advancement of equity-minded educational leadership and the success of diverse school communities.
